The Cimarron City Library is located in Cimarron, Kansas, which was founded along the route of the Santa Fe Trail and the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad in the late 19th century.   The mission of the Cimarron City Library’s Digital Archives is to document the history of Gray County Kansas and the surrounding areas using photographs, documents and oral histories from the late 19th century through the present.

_The mission of the Cimarron City Library's Digital Archives is to document the history of Gray County Kansas and the surrounding areas using photographs, documents and oral histories from the late 19th century through the present. The Digital Archives is a growing collection which seeks to digitally collect, preserve, and make available for research primary and secondary archival materials relating to its mission. Although the Library is not actively collecting physical material to permanently house, the Library is actively seeking those materials for the purpose of digitally scanning them to preserve the information, thereby making them available for future generations._
